Last week while on a vacation I got a chance to read “The 4 Hour Work Week.” I’d been hearing so much about this book that when I saw it in Bancroft, Ontario (of all places) I picked it up.
I got back to the cottage and dove right into it. I immediately became a big fan. It seemed to be a mirror image of my career minus all the crazy and far more exciting & eccentric things Timothy Ferriss is doing. The parts about Tim’s family or friends asking, “what do you do for a living?” or “where do you work?” really echoed to me.

One of the biggest things many online marketers are missing is Cross Promotion conversions.
Many of us are missing the boat and we’re missing cross promotion possibilities each time a product is sold.
In fact, cross promotion can easily result in repeat sales multiple times. Let me explain. eBay has really got cross promotion down and they make it super easy for store owners to cross promote. You can choose which items to cross promote so when a buyer purchases one item, your customer is automatically shown 3 or 4 more auctions… If you liked this item consider additional items from this seller..

About a week ago, on a forum I regularly visit and participate at, one post last week really just rubbed me the wrong way. I won’t get back into who or what was said but it essentially made the point that what mattered was not, who was on the other end of the computer, but how many sales you could get out of them.

Have you heard?
"Reciprocal linking is old news – doesn’t work – don’t bother with it."
Only one little, bitty problem with that advice..
It simply isn’t true.
Exchanging links is free, slow and steady. You won’t see a flood of money coming in or a huge increase in adsense clicks when you are adding links. Guess what? That’s not the benefit we look for when exchanging reciprocal links.
You launch your site on the World Wide Web - with reciprocal links you are attaching your site to that web. Reciprocal links create paths to your websites and search engine bots as well as visitors follow those paths.
With a good reciprocal link campaign, you are creating a spider web with your site in the center. All of those paths leading to and from your site build that web and help anchor your site. Your site is at the center of this web, and less likely to be hurt by the ever changing whim of search engines.
The information here is only what you need to know to add good reciprocal links to your websites. It is not necessary to understand the nuances of PR in link trading – or to know every little trick some site owners use. This is an easy process, requires no expenditure at all – and carries long term ongoing benefits for your site.
Exactly what IS a "Reciprocal Link" Anyway?
This is a "trade" - you put a link on your site pointing to another webmaster’s site and he does the same for you. How simple is that?
Done right, it’s not quite that simple. The focus of the site you trade links with, the design and quality of that site, where links are placed, etc determines how much benefit a link will add to your site.

It is not very often that I post an opportunity like this.
As a matter of fact, this opportunity is only going to be offered once, ever.
So…Please read every word of this blog. It’s that important.
On the internet, there is one thing that makes all the difference between success and failure of your final offer, and that is the copy on your main sales page.
Failing to perfect your sales copy on your offer page can reduce response by over 100%.

Are these three things important to your business? Are they important to the products you sell online?
Well, they should be. In fact, they should be at the very top of the most important things you must seek to achieve when selling anything. Of course, the gathering of testimonials can be a daunting task. Even when you get them, adding them to your website can also be a major pain.
Did you know that your customers are far more willing to leave a testimonial if you’ve got an automated way for that to happen. In fact, imagine you could put the whole darn thing on autopilot! I know I just said this is one of the most important aspects of your business but wouldn’t that be great?
Well you can… and I’ll show you what I mean in the next few weeks. For now, think about how credibility, social proof and customer satisfaction are important to your business. Think about what your sales would be like if you had genuine, unsolicited social proof that your product or service worked… It would be pretty amazing right?

This won’t make much sense to my regular readers unless you’re working on a mac and looking to use Camtasia.
I know this has been written about in various locations…I’ve searched for a long time to find a working solution to getting Camtasia Studio working on my Mac.
I’m pleased to write that after trying Bootcamp & Parallels on numerous times with so-so luck… I’ve now finally got Camtasia working on my mac in perfect form.
I download VMWare Fusion last week, reformatted my MacBook and did a clean install. I then installed VMWare Fusion and installed Windows XP SP2. After that I installed Camtasia Studio.
First few things to point out.
- Camtasia is working perfectly on my mac.
- VMWare Fusion is the best use of Windows on a Mac yet. Unless I’m totally missing something, this software runs windows like a bullet. WAY better than Parallels or Bootcamp.
- All drivers, audio, video recording are working flawlessly with Camtasia.
So yes, now you can finally properly run camtasia on a mac.
Cheers
A lot of people struggle with installing Wordpress from the start. Don’t get me wrong.. This is the easiest blog platform I’ve ever worked with but for a beginner the task of setting up Wordpress on your own hosting can be a challenge.
And then along comes Dane Morgan or “DaneMorgan.com“ This is one guy to keep your eye on! Dane is actually working for me as a staff member at a new site called BumMarketers.com… Bum Marketing is the newest fad in “Internet Marketing” about the lazy mans way of earning an honest income online.
This means, earning through affiliate programs, adsense, adwords etc etc. Dane is a staff member and has undertaken the first of many hands-on projects members of the site will go through. The first site is “Dane’s Profiting Wordpress Project”
I say profiting because Dane is a wordpress expert and he fully intends to profit from every Wordpress site he builds. So essentially, he’s giving away one of the secrets to his own Internet income. Anyways, it also came to my attention today that Dane has released probally the easiest Wordpress Install guide that’s ever been written. In fact, Wordpress should be using this as their own guide. It’s literally “Wordpress Installations for Dummies”
Long story short, if you want to install Wordpress and find lots of instructions are confusing, look no further. Dane’s released his short little guide and its 100% free too. You can download it at the Internet Archive. Here is a direct link.

A shameless plug never hurt anyone but if you like what you see here and like what you see at DaneMorgan.com you don’t want to miss your chance at getting into BumMarketers.com !

OK.
The cats out of the bag. I’m working on a major Membership Site Package. This will be the package that shows you the EXACT steps you need to take to create a insanely successful Membership Site!
I really don’t have an exact date yet for a launch but I’ll be sure to let you know.
I think Membership Sites are one of the most overlooked areas of Internet Income. That being said, it’s also the biggest area of “mis-information” Every Joe-Marketer will tell you that you can work 5 minutes a day and make 5k per month with Membership Sites.
I’m going to debunk all this outrageous claims and myths but show you exactly how you can and will be successful running Membership Sites. I’m working with some of the best in the business including Alex from aMember. aMember is without a doubt the top selling Membership Software on the planet.
Anyways, much more to come on this shortly. Oh, I almost forgot… There was a discussion at the Warrior Forum about Niche Membership Sites. My package will be focused on every type of Membership Site but Niche Membership sites are essential and HUGE money makers. Look at this little profile of Membership Sites I whipped up. Click Here

This is a post that I placed in my private members forum yesterday. It is really such a great book that I thought I should share it here as well.
I highly recommend this book. I don’t have an affiliate link or anything. It’s a book from amazon or local bookstore.
It’s called “Ballsy, 99 ways to grow a bigger paid and score extreme business success”
Ladies, before you look at the title and run listen to this, this book was written by a female.
It’s 99 Business Tips written in a funny way you’ll love picking it up each morning.
Let me share tip #1 and 2 of the book. I think the first tip of the book is crucial to success on the Internet.
Tip #1 & 2
More Important Than Talent, Have Balls.
“Sure talent matters. But if you don’t have balls, your talent won’t matter - because nobody will ever find out about all your swell talent.”
Fact: If you’re seeking extreme success, you cannot be afraid to go against the crowd, make mistakes, look dumb.
Fact: Every member of the Fortune 500 club could easily be eligible for membership in the misfortune 500 club. They just knew that when/if they fell on their faces, they’d use the leverage to push themselves up higher.
In Summary:
If you want to reach extreme heights in your career, get over your fear of falling.
