Here’s a video I shared in 2021—nearly 3 years ago. Why am I sharing it again?
Because I just had another conversation with a prospective client, and the same issue came up!
💡 The big problem: “This too shall pass!”
When I recorded this during the pandemic (yes, with much longer hair 💇♂️), I talked about how people often treat critical initiatives like they’ll fade away on their own. This mindset is still alive and well today.
Just last week, a prospect told me, “Our team doesn’t really think this change will stick. They're just going through the motions!”
Sound familiar? I’ve heard this for years. It’s the “why bother?” mentality—everyone assumes things will go back to normal.
But here’s the thing: They won’t.
You’ve made an investment. You’ve committed to a new direction. The challenge now? Staying the course when resistance kicks in.
🚨 My advice, then and now:
✅ Prepare for the pushback.
✅ Don’t let negative attitudes spread.
✅ Keep pushing forward.
And here’s a fun fact—while my hair was longer back then, as my wife likes to remind me now, I’m older, fitter, wiser, and better looking today. 😉
Some things do change, I guess.
So, is your team treating an important initiative like it will pass? What are you going to do about it?
The time to act is now.
P.S. Reposting this for anyone who needs that extra push today.
