Last Friday, my 14-year-old daughter crushed her first big robotics class assignment: fundraising.
Her method?
Simple but fearless:
1️⃣ Make a list.
2️⃣ Write a script.
3️⃣ Prepare a secondary ask.
Then, she picked up the phone—no overthinking, no worrying about rejection—and got to work.
By the end of the day, she raised thousands of dollars. (As a proud dad, I had to match her top sponsorship—she was that good!)
Here’s the truth most people avoid:
Rejection is inevitable. Fear of it is optional.
Her success reminded me:
🔑 Action beats hesitation. Waiting for the perfect moment is just another excuse to stay stuck.
🔑 Clarity is power. If you’re vague, you’ll fail. She knew exactly what she wanted and asked for it.
🔑 Consistency wins. Success isn’t luck—it’s the reward of following a process.
Too many leaders avoid hard conversations, critical decisions, or bold moves because of self-censorship or fear of hearing “no.”
But success always favors those who ask, adapt, and act.
👉 What’s one fear you’ll tackle this week to drive better results for your team?
P.S. If this resonated, share it with your network.
You might inspire someone to take their next bold step, just as she inspired me.
