They don’t.
They have a customer ownership problem.
This shows up the same way in manufacturing, distribution, SaaS, professional services — anywhere there’s a sales team chasing “new” while existing customers quietly buy less.
Flat growth rarely means “we need more leads.”
It usually means no one owns retention.
