I arrived at my client’s headquarters to break down and review their sales process.
I pulled into the parking lot and observed one rep’s car. it was filthy and was covered in maple leaves, some stained onto the windshield. It was like today was the first time the car had moved in weeks.
He swore he was on the road daily, meeting with clients, but his filthy car told me everything.
I pressed him, and he confessed. He was at home watching soap operas!!
No CRM notes. No meetings. No activity. He would make a call or two, send a few emails, and call it a day.
The CEO brought me in to figure out why sales weren’t growing. The team blamed marketing. They begged for better leads. But the truth? They weren’t even selling.
No pipeline. No urgency. No process. Just a team going through the motions, hoping deals would close themselves.
We pinpointed the breakdown and fixed it in one day.
Because when you know exactly where the problem is, you don’t need more leads.
You need a process that makes you the only choice.
