Most forecast problems aren't people problems.

Most forecast problems aren't people problems.

They're system problems.

Your reps aren't lying to you.

They're playing by rules that reward optimism over honesty.

So deals sit in "decision" for weeks with no real answer.

With one client, we found 1400 deals in limbo, created over the past 12 months.

He estimated at even the MOST conservative level this was $2.3M in deals they just let die.

As we discovered this while sitting in the boardroom, his exact words, "I think I'm about to be sick!" 🤮

And bad news shows up at the end of the quarter instead of the beginning.

The fix is simpler than you think.

Set clear criteria for when a deal moves forward or gets cut.

Flag anything stuck for two weeks with no new activity.

Know the health of your top accounts at a glance.

You don't need better reps.

You need a system that forces the truth to surface early.

Bad news doesn't kill pipelines.

Late bad news does.

This is what I do. I help growth-focused CEOs build the systems their internal teams are too close to see clearly.
