Most meetings aren’t collaboration. They’re corporate procrastination.

Most meetings aren’t collaboration. They’re corporate procrastination.
There’s a sign in my office that says: No more meetings.
It’s not a joke. It’s a strategy.
Most execs spend 20 hours a week in meetings where nothing gets decided.
No action. No outcomes. Just expensive calendar noise.
I worked with a tech company buried in meetings.
Everyone complained about slow execution.
So we banned all recurring meetings for 30 days.
Output skyrocketed.
When meetings came back, they followed strict rules:
Clear agenda.
A decision maker in the room.
Action items sent within the hour.
No exceptions.
Here’s your test:
Take any meeting on your calendar this week.
Multiply the hourly rate of everyone in the room.
Now ask: What result justifies that cost?
If you don’t have a clear answer...cancel it.
